Recovery food
From UroWiki
What is recovery food? Recovery food could be described as suggested foods for a Uromastyx to eat when recovering from dehydration, parasite treatments, poor diet from a previous owner, surgery, etc. These foods are high in nutrients, water content and should assist in the Uromastyx' recovery. During any recovery period, it is suggested to stay away from foods that are high in oxalates, sodium or would regularly be considered as 'treats'. Stick to the basics. Escarole and Chickory have 2:1 Ca:P ratios, which will aide in the Uromastyx acquiring proper nutrients. This is one of the times where using Romaine lettuce would be an acceptable daily food. Romaine lettuce is 95% water content, which will help keep you Uromastyx hydrated. This is also a time where the use of Pedialyte is a good idea as well. This provides an excess of nutrients and hydration. This should not be over-used but should be used in extreme cases of dehydration and malnourishment.
