These pages are to publicly thank contributors to the wiki. Although most of the material on the wiki is original and user-produced, occasional paragraphs (notably the more general information) have been adapted from Wikipedia articles, used under the GNU Free Documentation License. We would like to thank the original authors of those sections.

Notable contributors

Many thanks to Troy Jones for his wonderful contributions on mating rituals, egg laying, egg incubation and hatchling care!

Thanks to Mark Walsh for his incubation method.

Thanks to Ryan Wells for his immense help in shaping up a lot of articles with detailed (and accurate) information; Ryan is a long-time uromastyx keeper and a key contributor to a number of forums, as well as part of the UVB Meter Owners group.

Thanks also to the members of the UVB Meter Owners group on Yahoo! whose mailing list has always been full of lively discussion and debate, some of which has inspired or helped to bulk out articles on this site.

General thanks

Thanks to any editors who have been actively helping and updating the wiki, and thanks to all the people from random areas of the internet who have provided material in the form of direct communications, uploaded articles, forum postings (both on the official forums and elsewhere) and any other help we've had, directly or indirectly. It's a tough job but with your help, we'll get it done eventually!

Copyright issues

While we make every effort to chase down copyright holders when we're aware that material may be exclusive to some individual or group, the general nature of most of the information here often makes attribution difficult, if not impossible. Although, as noted above, much of our information is original and user-produced, a sizeable amount of it does come from the collected wisdom of experienced keepers on various forums. Sometimes, forum postings have been cut and pasted so many times (and from various other sources, sometimes with false attributions added on later) that they have lost their original details.

However, despite these challenges, we try to be open and flexible here on the UroWiki - if you see anything which you believe has been stolen, copied without permission, or may have other usage issues, please do feel free to contact us and hopefully we can get it resolved!
