U. alfredschmidti is better known as Ebony Uromastyx or Schmidt's Mastigure.

Description

Their size is comparable to that of the U. maliensis, and their tail whorls are used to distinguish their species from similar species like U. maliensis and U. dispar.

Colouration

Adult colouring in males is soild black - belly included - and females also have dark colouring, but not as solid as males.

Temperament

U. alfredschmidti have not been housed in captivity for long periods of time, so far. Behavior seen in imported specimens parallels behavior acclimatisation seen in other species and includes skittishness and aggression. Exessive or extreme aggresion has also been seen.
